Same-Day MTC Delivery: How It Works

Sometimes you don't have a week to spare. A birthday is tomorrow, your missionary leaves for the field soon, or you just decided this morning that they need a pick-me-up. That's exactly what same-day delivery is for.

The three-step process

1. Order online. Place your order, choose a package size, and tell us where it's headed. You'll need your missionary's complete mailing address, including their mailbox number (if you don't have it, see How to Find Your Missionary's MTC Mailing Address).

Mind the cutoffs

Same-day delivery works because everything moves on a tight schedule, so each drop-off location has a daily cutoff, generally between late morning and early afternoon. Order and drop early in the day to be safe, and check the cutoff for your chosen location before you head over. Miss it and your package simply goes out the next business day.

What to put in your package

Same-day delivery doesn't change what's allowed. The Provo MTC mailroom has no refrigeration, so everything must be shelf-stable — handwritten notes, printed photos, candy, jerky, trail mix, stamps, pens, and small practical items. Skip anything refrigerated, frozen, perishable, or fast food. Keep it small and shareable, too, since missionaries have limited space and live with a companion.
